What An Edit Might Look Like
One of my long-standing clients recently asked me to check out their Mission, Vision, and Values statements. They wanted them refined with strong language that was still ‘on brand.’ This meant using terminology that sounded like them. Some words are better suited to one brand than they are to another, so I always try to keep in mind what helps strengthen someone’s writing but still keeps their voice intact.
Check out the image below to see what the originals looked like, what changes I made, and how I explain some of what I did and why I did it.
So if you ever need some help sharpening your words, let me know what I can do for you! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about what I do. As the example above will show, I didn’t change the fundamentals of what the client had written in their statement, but I merely changed the wording to make it more active and give it a punch. And that is my goal for you. Your words are important, and I am here to make sure they are the right words.
